Florian Thauvin appears to have ignored the advice given by Cameroonian footballer Aurelien Chedjou regarding his transfer decision. Chedjou, who recently joined Galatasaray, advised the Under-20 World champion to stay with Lille instead of moving to Marseille.
Chedjou shared his perspective, saying, “I’m a little far from all that. I didn’t regret signing for LOSC. If I can allow myself to give him a little advice, I would tell him to first discover this club, its supporters, and the management before judging. Everyone who signed for LOSC got a good deal. He signed a contract. I don’t know how he’s going to handle this with his agents. It’s up to Lille to see that with him.”
Despite the advice, it seems that Olympique de Marseille is on the verge of finalizing Thauvin’s transfer today for a period of 5 years. The decision to move to Marseille suggests that Thauvin has opted for a new challenge, and the official announcement of the transfer is expected soon.
