Mouad Dahak’s rising stock on the European transfer market has sparked a tug-of-war between two clubs from vastly different corners of the continent.

After an impressive campaign with Moroccan side Union Touarga, the 23-year-old defender is now at the centre of a growing bidding battle involving Greek giants Olympiakos and Russian outfit FK Krasnodar.

While Olympiakos appeared to be leading the race with an early formal expression of interest, recent developments suggest that the balance may be shifting.

Krasnodar have tabled an official bid of $3 million, surpassing the financial terms initially floated by the Greek club.

A club official at Union Touarga confirmed the Russian offer, emphasising its seriousness and appeal.

“We have received formal correspondence from the agent representing Krasnodar. The offer is serious and exceeds initial expectations.

The latest approach, made via a Tunisian intermediary acting on behalf of the Russian side, appears to have complicated what once seemed a straightforward route to Athens for Dahak.

Olympiakos, who had already sent documentation outlining terms for a potential move, may now be forced to respond with an improved proposal if they are to remain in contention.

Dahak has emerged as one of the standout young defenders in Moroccan domestic football.

Known for his composure, positional intelligence and ability to read the game, the centre-back has been instrumental in Union Touarga’s solid defensive displays this season.

His performances have not gone unnoticed, with Lille OSC of France also believed to be monitoring developments closely.

A move to Europe is now viewed as an inevitable next step for Dahak, whose maturity and leadership at the back have earned him plaudits at home and abroad.

Yet with multiple clubs circling, the question remains: where will he land?

On one side is Olympiakos, offering the pedigree of European competition and a strong track record of developing North African talent.

On the other is Krasnodar, whose financial muscle could tip the scales.

Union Touarga now face a significant decision—balancing financial gain with the player’s developmental prospects.

As negotiations continue behind closed doors, the Dahak transfer saga is shaping up to be one of the more closely watched North African stories of the summer window.

A resolution may come soon, but for now, the race remains wide open.
