Filipe Luis backs Lamine Camara to attract Europe’s biggest clubs after Chelsea disappointment

Lamine Camara will stay at AS Monaco after a proposed move to Chelsea broke down, but manager Filipe Luis believes the Senegal midfielder can use the setback as motivation and eventually secure interest from Europe’s leading clubs.

“With everything that happened on the last day, it is certain that something in his head could affect him. But honestly, he is a special boy. I can feel it every day in training and when I work with him. It is really easy to work with him.”

Filipe Luis went on to praise Camara’s character and ability, suggesting that the player’s future could still lead to an even bigger opportunity if he maintains his current standards.

“The football world knows Lamine Camara and his qualities, every club is watching him. If he does not change, if he maintains his level, he will have something better. It will not be just one club that comes for him. All the big clubs in Europe will come for him in the next transfer window, that is certain, because he is an elite player.”
