Fikayo Tomori dismisses Tottenham links as Milan prepare for Feyenoord clash

Fikayo Tomori dismisses Tottenham links as Milan prepare for Feyenoord clash

Fikayo Tomori has reaffirmed his commitment to AC Milan, insisting he never considered leaving the club despite transfer speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham in January.

The English defender addressed the rumours as Milan prepare for a crucial Champions League encounter against Feyenoord.

Having lost the first leg 1-0, the Serie A side faces a must-win situation to keep their European hopes alive.

Speaking alongside Zlatan Ibrahimović ahead of the match, Tomori dismissed any suggestions that he was looking for an exit.

I have always said that I feel at home here, and nothing has changed, he said. Every transfer window, there’s always talk, but my focus has always been on Milan.

Reports had suggested that Tottenham were keen to strengthen their defence with Tomori in January, but they eventually signed Kevin Danso instead.

Milan, meanwhile, reinforced their backline by bringing in Kyle Walker, a move Tomori believes has been beneficial for the squad.

Walker brings calm and experience to the team, Tomori said. We communicate often, and he has fit in well.

The former Chelsea defender, who initially joined Milan on loan in January 2021 before making the switch permanent, has now spent four years in Italy.

He remains a key figure in the club’s defensive setup and is determined to help them progress in the Champions League.

With Milan needing a strong performance against Feyenoord, Tomori’s presence and leadership at the back will be crucial as they aim to overturn the first-leg deficit.
