The latest FIFA rankings, released yesterday, have brought significant changes for Arab nations, with Morocco and Egypt seeing declines while the UAE surged ahead.
The rankings come on the heels of the international break held from November 11 to 19, during which teams competed in matches under FIFA’s calendar.
At the global level, Argentina retained its top spot with 1867.25 points, followed closely by France with 1859.78 points and Spain with 1853.27 points.
England ranked fourth, followed by Brazil in fifth place. Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Germany completed the top ten, with Germany returning to this elite group.
Arab Rankings
Morocco continues to lead among Arab and African nations, holding the 14th position globally despite slipping one place from its previous rank.
Egypt, ranked second among Arab teams and third in Africa, experienced a more pronounced decline, falling three spots to 33rd in the world.
Algeria maintained its position as the third-ranked Arab team and 37th globally, showing stability amid the reshuffling.
In contrast, the UAE achieved a significant leap, climbing five places to 63rd in the world, securing its eighth spot among Arab nations.
