FIFA has opened its first permanent regional office in Africa, selecting Rabat, Morocco, as its base to drive football development across the continent.

Rabat has also become a frequent destination for CAF and FIFA events, reinforcing Morocco’s role as a continental football hub.
Its joint bid with Spain and Portugal to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup further highlights its ambition to contribute to the sport’s global growth.
