FIFA has announced the appointment of referees for Egypt’s upcoming matches against Burkina Faso and Guinea-Bissau in the third and fourth rounds of the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
For the game between Egypt and Burkina Faso, scheduled for the third round of qualifiers, FIFA has assigned a Kenyan refereeing team led by Peter Waweru Kamaku.
Kamaku will be assisted by Gilbert Cheruiyot Chepkwony and Samuel Korir Muangi, with Dickens Mwema Nyagrowa serving as the fourth official.
In addition, FIFA has chosen Sudanese referee Mahmoud Ali Ismail to officiate the match between Guinea-Bissau and Egypt in the fourth round of the World Cup qualifiers.
Ismail will be supported by Cameroonian assistant referee Ndjogoue Nouboue and Kenyan assistant referee Stephen Onyango Yiembi.
Sudanese referee Sabri Mohamed Fadel will serve as the fourth official for the match.
