Hungarian giants Ferencvaros are showing strong interest in strengthening their backline with the addition of Malian defender Senou Coulibaly from Omonia Nicosia.
The 30-year-old center-back has emerged as a potential target as Ferencvaros continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new season.
Reports from Hungarian outlet ulloi129.hu indicate that, despite the growing buzz, no formal bid has yet been made for the experienced defender. Still, Coulibaly’s name has been linked with the club during an ambitious transfer window that has already seen six new signings arrive.
Coulibaly, who currently plies his trade in Cyprus with Omonia, is known for his physical presence and defensive discipline. Born in France, he is of Malian descent and chose to represent Mali at the international level. He made his debut for the Eagles in a 1–1 friendly draw with DR Congo on June 11, 2021.
Ferencvaros fans will be eager to see whether the club turns its interest into action as they continue building a squad capable of competing both domestically and in Europe.
