Fenerbahçe set €20m price tag for Moroccan midfielder Sofyan Amrabat

Fenerbahçe have placed a €20m valuation on Moroccan international Sofyan Amrabat as speculation over his future intensifies in the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

The Istanbul-based club finalised a permanent deal for the 28-year-old last summer, paying €13m to Fiorentina after an initial loan spell.

With growing interest from across Europe, the Turkish giants are prepared to consider offers but are unlikely to sell for less than their asking price.

Reports from Italy suggest that Juventus, Atalanta and Fiorentina are all monitoring Amrabat’s situation, with AC Milan also emerging as a potential suitor.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claims the Rossoneri have joined the race, increasing competition for the midfielder’s signature.

Despite this mounting interest, Amrabat is believed to be content in Istanbul and is prioritising consistency with Fenerbahçe, where he remains under contract until June 2028.

The defensive midfielder has quickly become a key figure at the club, bringing top-level experience from across Europe.

Born in Huizen, Netherlands, Amrabat began his professional career with Utrecht before earning a move to Feyenoord. He later represented Belgian side Club Bruges, where his performances caught the attention of Fiorentina.

The midfielder went on to feature prominently in Serie A before his high-profile loan spell at Manchester United, where he played in both domestic and European competitions.

Amrabat’s arrival at Fenerbahçe was viewed as a significant coup for the Turkish side, and his form has helped solidify their midfield options.

However, with Milan’s reported interest adding to that of other Italian clubs, his future remains one of the most closely watched stories of the window’s final days.

Fenerbahçe’s stance signals that they are not willing to part with the Moroccan international cheaply. Should he depart, it would likely require a substantial financial commitment from any potential buyer.

For now, though, the club remain focused on retaining his services as they push for success both domestically and in Europe.
