Fenerbahce prepare €10m bid for Lorient midfielder Arthur Avom

Arthur Avom’s impressive performances for FC Lorient have attracted interest from abroad and cast doubt over his future with the French club.

The 21-year-old midfielder has rejected a contract-extension offer from Lorient as he seeks to take the next step in his development. His current agreement with the club runs until June 2027, but his decision has forced the Breton side to reassess their plans for the Cameroon international.

According to Fanatik, Fenerbahce have made concrete contact as they look to strengthen their midfield. The Turkish club want to complete a deal for Avom during the winter transfer window while keeping the cost of the move under control.

Fenerbahce are preparing an offer believed to be worth 10 million euros for the player. That figure could persuade Lorient to sanction a significant sale this winter rather than retain Avom while his contract situation remains unresolved.

The Turkish club are also seeking to recruit the Cameroon international on favourable financial terms. Avom, who was born in Yaounde, is currently valued at 20 million euros.

Lorient will soon face Paris FC in their sixth-day match of the French league season. The published match odds list a Lorient victory at 3.25, a draw at 3.40 and a Paris FC win at 2.20.
