Turkish giants Fenerbahce have made an approach for Napoli midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season, according to Italian journalist Orazio Accomando.
The 29-year-old Cameroon international has emerged as one of Fenerbahce’s targets in their search for midfield reinforcements.
With his combination of physical presence and tactical intelligence, Anguissa is seen as a player who can add immediate quality to their engine room.
Napoli, however, are reluctant to part ways with a player who has been a central figure in their setup since joining permanently from Fulham in 2022.
The Serie A side have reportedly placed a €30 million price tag on Anguissa, a reflection of his value to the team and the duration remaining on his current contract, which runs until 2027.
Although Napoli are not actively seeking to offload the midfielder, club sources suggest they are open to considering a sale should a convincing offer arrive.
The Italian club is expected to make adjustments to their squad this summer and may be willing to listen if their valuation is met.
Interest in Anguissa is not limited to Fenerbahce. Reports indicate that Saudi outfit Al-Qadsiah and Turkish rivals Besiktas are also monitoring his availability, indicating that a bidding race could unfold in the coming weeks.
Since arriving in Naples, Anguissa has been a consistent performer, known for his ball-winning ability, composure under pressure, and experience in both Serie A and continental competitions.
His potential departure would mark a significant shift in Napoli’s midfield structure but could also provide the club with the funds needed for a broader squad rebuild.
