FC Twente complete €1m capture of Belgium-Ghana midfielder Jordy Bawuah

Belgium-Ghana midfielder Jordy Bawuah has joined FC Twente from PSV U21 in a €1m move, giving the 19-year-old a switch from the Dutch second tier to the Eredivisie.

Bawuah completed the transfer on 31 August 2026 and has signed a contract with Twente running until 30 June 2029. The left-footed defensive midfielder is 1.82m tall and becomes part of the Enschede club’s squad after beginning the 2026-27 campaign with PSV U21.

He played three matches in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie before moving, starting all three and completing 270 minutes. Bawuah did not score or provide an assist in those appearances and was not shown a card.

The move brings an end to his time in PSV’s development structure, where he progressed from the club’s youth side to PSV U18 and then PSV U21. He joined PSV’s youth set-up from KRC Genk Youth in July 2018 on a free transfer.

Bawuah’s transfer value was listed at €500,000 before the move, while Twente have paid €1m to secure his services. He now moves into a club competing in the Eredivisie, having spent the opening part of the season in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie.

Born on 17 November 2006, Bawuah is eligible to represent both Belgium and Ghana. His recorded playing role is defensive midfield, with his left foot listed as his preferred foot.

FC Twente have completed the signing of Jordy Bawuah from PSV U21 on a contract lasting until June 2029.
