Nabil Ghilas Set for Another Loan Move as Porto Future Remains Uncertain
Algerian international Nabil Ghilas may be on the move again as his future at FC Porto remains unclear. After spending last season on loan at Córdoba in Spain’s La Liga, the striker has returned to the Portuguese giants — but only briefly, it seems.
Despite his return, Ghilas does not appear to feature in Porto manager Julen Lopetegui’s plans for the upcoming season. As reported by France Football, the 25-year-old is expected to be sent out on loan once again, with Levante emerging as the leading candidate for his services.
However, the race for his signature may not be so straightforward. Málaga, another La Liga outfit, has reportedly expressed strong interest in the forward, who impressed during his stint in Spain despite Córdoba’s struggles.
Previously linked with Braga, Ghilas now looks set to continue his career in Spain, where his physicality and goal-scoring instincts have drawn attention. While Levante appears to be in pole position, the interest from Málaga could yet turn the tide in their favour.
A final decision is expected soon as Porto looks to finalise its squad before the start of the season.
