FC Nürnberg have boosted their squad during the winter transfer window with the signing of French-Congolese midfielder Rabby Nzingoula, who arrives on loan from Racing Strasbourg to strengthen the team with immediate effect.
The 20-year-old joins the German second-division side as part of coach Miroslav Klose’s plans to reinforce his midfield options for the remainder of the season.
Nzingoula has been on the books of Strasbourg since the summer of 2022, progressing through the club’s U19 and reserve teams before earning promotion to the senior squad.
Nürnberg’s sporting director Joti Chatzialexiou explained that the move was a direct response to recent changes within the team.
“After Demba Diop’s departure, we agreed that we wanted to strengthen our central midfield position,” he said. “Rabby Nzingoula can not only play in central midfield, but is also an option for the right wing.”
The player himself has expressed excitement about the new chapter in his career and is eager to make an impact quickly.
“I’m delighted that the move to the club has worked out. But I’m especially looking forward to the home game on Friday at the Max-Morlock-Stadium and the club fans,” Nzingoula said.
Nzingoula brings valuable top-flight experience despite his young age. Last season, he featured regularly for Montpellier in Ligue 1, making 27 appearances and gaining important match exposure at the highest level of French football.
His arrival is expected to add energy, versatility and depth to Nürnberg’s midfield as the club pushes forward in the second half of the campaign.
