FC Metz, currently holding the 15th position in Ligue 1, has officially confirmed the loan signing of Cameroonian left-winger Didier Lamkel Zé. The announcement was made through a press release on the club’s official website and social media platforms.
The 27-year-old footballer, on loan until June 30, 2024, arrives at FC Metz from Hatayspor, a Turkish Süper Lig club.
The loan agreement includes a purchase option, giving FC Metz the opportunity to secure Lamkel Zé’s services permanently at the conclusion of the loan period.
Didier Lamkel Zé had joined Hatayspor last summer from KV Kortrijk and is under contract with the Turkish club until June 2025.
In the current season, he contributed significantly with 16 appearances in various competitions, showcasing his prowess with three goals and three assists.
Expressing his excitement about returning to FC Metz, where he previously played in 2022, Lamkel Zé stated, “I am very happy to come back to Metz.
I feel good here; it’s a bit like home. I come here with only one desire: to help the club stay in Ligue 1.”
The Cameroonian international, valued at 1.10 million euros, brings his skills and experience to FC Metz’s campaign to secure a stable position in the French top-flight league.
Lamkel Zé’s annual salary of 450,000 euros underscores the club’s commitment to strengthening its roster with impactful additions.
