Faride Alidou: Holstein Kiel sign winger from Kaiserslautern in 2. Bundesliga move

Holstein Kiel have completed the signing of left winger Faride Alidou from 1.FC Kaiserslautern in a permanent transfer between the 2. Bundesliga clubs on 6 July 2026. The 24-year-old arrives with a current market value of 800,000, although the fee for the deal has not been disclosed.

Alidou joins Kiel after an eventful 18 months under contract at Kaiserslautern, which included a loan spell at Eintracht Braunschweig during the 2025-26 season. He returned from Braunschweig at the end of that campaign before making the switch to Kiel ahead of the new 2. Bundesliga season.

Born in Hamburg on 18 July 2001, Alidou is a 1.86m right-footed attacker whose main position is on the left wing. Eligible for both Germany and Togo, he has spent his entire senior career in European football and has built experience across the Bundesliga, Serie A and 2. Bundesliga.

Before his time at Kaiserslautern and Braunschweig, Alidou was on the books of Eintracht Frankfurt, who signed him from Hamburger SV in July 2022 after his breakthrough in the 2. Bundesliga with his hometown club. While at Frankfurt he had loan spells at 1.FC Koln in the 2023-24 season and at Hellas Verona in Italy in 2024-25.

Alidous market value has fluctuated in recent years, peaking at 2.5m during his periods with Eintracht Frankfurt and 1.FC Koln before settling at 800,000 during his loan at Eintracht Braunschweig in early 2026.

Having already featured for a range of German clubs and enjoyed a stint in Serie A, Alidou now continues his career in the 2. Bundesliga with Holstein Kiel.
