“I am a footballer; football is my job. Until now, I have had no contact with the management of Kabuscorp. If they ever contact me and the offer is interesting, I will first discuss it with my President Moïse Katumbi.” This was Trésor Mputu’s initial response to the interest expressed by the Angolan club in a recent interview with Jeune Afrique.
However, developments have taken place since then. According to our information, the Congolese midfielder is currently in Luanda this Friday with the intention of finalizing a one-year contract with the reigning champion team of Angola. Mputu has also indicated his openness to a departure from the Ravens, stating, “I could sign even for a year; there is nothing wrong with that.”
It’s worth noting that Mputu missed last month’s CAF Confederation Cup final with TP Mazembe.
