Everton are reportedly engaged in advanced talks to sign Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri, with concrete negotiations already underway, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The Morocco international is currently away on duty at the Africa Cup of Nations but has been closely monitored for a potential move to the Premier League.
This season, En-Nesyri has scored seven goals in 15 Süper Lig appearances for Fenerbahçe, though he has played only 948 minutes out of a possible 1,350.
Across all competitions for the Turkish club, he has accumulated 38 goals and eight assists, underlining his value as a proven goal scorer.
Fenerbahçe are reportedly open to discussing both loan and permanent options, with the forward contracted to the club until 2029.
En-Nesyri, 28, rose to prominence at Sevilla, scoring 73 goals in 196 appearances before his transfer to Fenerbahçe in 2024. His current market value is estimated at €22 million by Transfermarkt.
However, a potential obstacle for Everton is the striker’s reported reluctance to play in colder climates. Turkish journalist Sercan Hamzaoğlu noted this preference while reporting on other Premier League interest, including Nottingham Forest.
This factor could influence whether En-Nesyri chooses to move to England, leaving Everton to weigh their options against the striker’s personal considerations and ambitions.
