Europa League: Ghana’s Baba Rahman shines with a goal and assist for PAOK in 4-0 win against Young Boys

Ghanaian international Abdul Baba Rahman was the star for FC PAOK on Thursday night, scoring and providing an assist to inspire the side to thump Young Boys 4-0 in the Europa League.

The former Black Stars regular started the crucial game for the Greek outfit and made a big difference.

After a goalless first half, PAOK broke the deadlock in the 54th minute through Alessandro Bianco, who fired home after a neat buildup. Baba Rahman was the player who provided the assist for the equaliser. Giorgos Giakoumakis doubled the lead in the 67th minute with a well-placed low strike inside the box.

Giannis Konstantelias made it 3-0 in the 72nd minute before Baba Rahman capped off a superb night with a goal of his own four minutes later, calmly slotting home from close range to seal the 4-0 win.

With his impressive form in Europe, Ghanaian fans are calling for Baba Rahman’s return to the Black Stars.

It remains unclear if he will have a place in the Ghana squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup or not.
