Espérance Sportive de Tunis will officially lift the Tunisian league trophy after their final home game of the season against US Monastir on Thursday, May 15, the Tunisian Football Federation has announced.
This fixture, set to be held at the Hammadi Agrebi Stadium in Rades, will see the newly crowned champions receive their silverware in front of their home fans, marking a triumphant end to another dominant campaign.
Espérance, known as the “Blood and Gold,” confirmed their title on Sunday with a stunning 5-0 victory over Olympique Béja at the El Kef Stadium.
The result, combined with US Monastir’s 1-1 draw against Etoile Metlaoui, extended their lead to four points, making it mathematically impossible for any team to catch them with just one round of fixtures left.
This latest triumph continues Espérance’s impressive record in Tunisian football, as they add another trophy to their extensive collection.
The team’s potent attacking display against Béja, alongside a solid defensive record throughout the season, has been the foundation of their success.
US Monastir, who were Espérance’s closest challengers for much of the season, will be looking to finish the campaign on a high despite narrowly missing out on the title.
However, they face a tough task against an Espérance side determined to celebrate their title in style.
