Espérance de Tunis Parts Ways with Coulibaly, Ndjeng, and Afful

Espérance de Tunis is making major changes to its squad ahead of the second half of the season. The club has officially decided to part ways with Fousseny Coulibaly, Yannick Ndjeng, and Harrison Afful, with plans to release them during the winter transfer window.

This decision comes after a series of recent reinforcements, including the arrivals of Hatem Beajoui and Chedly Ghrab, with Brazilian winger Magno Cruz and Malian striker Moussa Marega also rumored to be joining soon.

Coach Khaled Ben Yahia had already made his stance clear in November, publicly stating that Yannick Ndjeng was the team’s “weak link,” and that despite multiple opportunities, the Cameroonian forward failed to meet expectations.

Meanwhile, Harrison Afful, a key player in recent seasons, has not reached an agreement with the club on a contract extension, leading to his departure. As for Fousseny Coulibaly, the club has opted to move on as part of its squad restructuring strategy.

These exits signal a new era at Espérance, as the Tunisian giants prepare for upcoming domestic and continental challenges with a refreshed lineup.
