Eric Gerets has parted ways with Lekhwiya, as announced by the club’s official website. The decision comes after a series of disappointing results, with the team being eliminated from both the Asian Champions League and the Qatar Cup.
Despite leading Lekhwiya to the Qatar championship title last March, Gerets expressed his disappointment at leaving with “only one title.” The former Marseille coach is now looking ahead to his next challenge, stating that he has received several offers and that his manager is currently handling them.
