Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has noted that England defender of Sierra Leonean descent Trevoh Chalobah is very important to his team.
The centre-back was recalled from his loan at Crystal Palace in the January transfer window and has since played a key role for the Blues.
Speaking on Trevoh Chalobah, Enzo Maresca said the defender has done very well since his return.
“I think Trev, since he’s back with us in January, he’s doing very well. He’s playing games, he’s helping us, he’s defending when he needs to defend.
“He is also building from the back when we need him, so he is able to do that, and we are very happy with Trev,” Maresca said.
The Chelsea manager continued, “I knew that he could help us. Unfortunately, Wes Fofana is the one that is out, but for sure we had no doubt that Trev would help us.”
Trevoh Chalobah, 25, is hoping to have a big role to play for Chelsea next season after his excellent displays this season.
