Enyimba FC held their first training session under the floodlights of Ismailia on Monday night as they gear up for their CAF Confederation Cup Group D encounter against Egyptian side Al Masry.
The session, led by head coach Yemi Olanrewaju, marked the start of the former Nigeria Premier Football League champions’ on-ground preparations after arriving in Cairo on Sunday evening.
The team is set to intensify its buildup with another session on Tuesday.
The much-anticipated clash will take place at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia on Wednesday, kicking off at 6 pm local time.
Group D also features Egyptian heavyweights Zamalek and Mozambican side Black Bull, making this a fiercely competitive pool.
Enyimba will aim to secure an early advantage in the group stages as they seek continental success.
