English-Nigerian star Bukayo Saka vows to ‘push on for more’ after reaching 100 Arsenal goal involvements
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka says he is determined to keep improving after reaching an impressive milestone of 100 goal involvements for the club, describing the achievement as something he refuses to take for granted.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, Saka has long been a symbol of pride for both England and Nigeria, combining his technical flair with a relentless work ethic that has made him one of the Premier League’s brightest talents.
The 24-year-old winger reached his 100th Premier League goal contribution—combining goals and assists—in his 200th appearance for Arsenal during their commanding win over West Ham United at the weekend.
His accomplishment places him among elite company, as only six players in Premier League history—Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Robbie Fowler, Cesc Fàbregas, Romelu Lukaku, and Cristiano Ronaldo—have reached the mark at a younger age.
Saka’s record means he achieved the feat faster than household names like Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling, and Erling Haaland, underlining his steady rise as one of Europe’s top attackers.
Yet, the Arsenal forward insists he is not satisfied.
“It feels very good. But yes, knowing myself, I’m always hungry for more,” Saka said after the match.
“In these moments, I need to not take it for granted, especially after being out with a few injuries over the last few months.
“I don’t take these things for granted anymore, so I’m really happy with that milestone and I want to push on for more.”
A product of Arsenal’s famed Hale End Academy, Saka made his Premier League debut under Unai Emery on New Year’s Day 2019 and has since evolved into a cornerstone of Mikel Arteta’s project in North London.
Now firmly established as one of Arsenal’s leaders, Saka will aim to carry his fine club form into the international break as England prepare for their upcoming fixtures under Thomas Tuchel.
