English-Nigerian star Bukayo Saka set to become Arsenal’s highest paid player

Saka Return

England international of Nigerian descent Bukayo Saka could become Arsenal’s highest paid player as he is set to be offered a new deal.

Saka, who has been with the Gunners since 2019 has two-years left on his current contract with the Premier League giants.

According to reports, the Gunners new sporting director Andrea Berta will work on a new contract for Saka upon his arrival at Emirates in an attempt to tie down the talented winger at the club.

The deal is expected to include a salary of £300,000 per week, making the winger the highest-paid player at the club.

Currently, Kai Havertz earns the highest salary at £280,000, and Saka will increase his wage by £105,000 per week.

His new salary is set to bring him closer to the club’s top tier around £350,000 per week, which was the record salary for Arsenal held by Mesut Özil.

Saka has limited game time this season due to injury setbacks. He has managed 28 matches for5 the Gunners, scoring 10 goals and delivering 14 assists across competitions.

Meanwhile, the winger is expected to play a huge role for the Gunners as they seeks to secure qualification to the semifinals of the Champions League over Real Madrid. The club goes into the return leg with a 3-0 advantage.
