Dele Alli has returned to individual training following his release from Italian side Como, as his former partner Cindy Kimberly takes to the studio with songs reportedly inspired by their breakup.
Born to a Nigerian father and English mother, the 29-year-old midfielder is working to revive his career after his short and turbulent spell in Italy ended abruptly in the summer.
Como manager Cesc Fàbregas confirmed that Alli was not part of his plans for the 2025/26 campaign, leading to a mutual contract termination just six months after his arrival.
“Dele is keen to secure regular playing opportunities,” the club stated. “As he was not part of the club’s immediate plans, both parties felt it was the right decision to part ways.”
Alli shared footage of his personal training sessions on Instagram, showing the former Tottenham star running, stretching, and working with the ball.
The midfielder joined Como in January on an 18-month deal with an option for a further year but made only one appearance — a forgettable debut that saw him sent off 10 minutes after coming off the bench against AC Milan for a reckless challenge on Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
That moment proved decisive. Despite returning from injury, Alli was frozen out of Fàbregas’s squad and failed to make another first-team appearance before his release.
Off the pitch, his former girlfriend, Spanish-Indonesian model and singer Cindy Kimberly, has also been in the headlines.
Following their split earlier this year after three years together, Kimberly revealed she had written “endless songs” about her past relationship with the footballer, adding fuel to speculation that some tracks will reflect on their breakup.
Alli and Kimberly began dating in 2022 and were seen together publicly when he completed his move to Como.
Their separation was confirmed in June after she unfollowed him on social media, later telling GSM magazine, “We’ve been separate for a little while already.”
Once a key figure under Mauricio Pochettino at Tottenham Hotspur, Alli’s career has been derailed by injuries and drug struggles since 2019.
