English-Nigerian midfielder Dele Alli linked with LaLiga switch as four Spanish clubs make contact
Four LaLiga clubs are reportedly in contact with former Como midfielder Dele Alli as the ex-England international looks for the next chapter of his career.
The 29-year-old is a free agent after cutting ties with the Serie A outfit before the start of the season and could be heading to Spain in the coming weeks.
Alli, who has Nigerian heritage through his father, left Como by mutual consent despite taking part in parts of pre-season training.
The decision ended his brief stint in Italy and has left one of English football’s most recognisable names back on the market, attracting interest from several top-flight sides abroad.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Rayo Vallecano, Real Oviedo, Elche and Levante have all expressed interest in securing Alli’s services.
All four compete in Spain’s top division and are looking to strengthen their midfield options before the winter transfer window closes.
Alli rose to prominence at Tottenham Hotspur, earning back-to-back PFA Young Player of the Year awards and playing a pivotal role under then-manager Mauricio Pochettino.
He later joined Everton but struggled for form and fitness, prompting a loan move and eventual exit from the Premier League.
A move to LaLiga could provide the attacking midfielder with the fresh environment he has been seeking.
Spain’s technical style and slower tempo have often benefited players looking to reset their careers, and the interest from four clubs underlines Alli’s enduring reputation across Europe.
