England international of Nigeria descent Dele Alli is expected to mark his debut for Como when they lock horns with AS Roma in the Italian Serie A on Sunday.
The former Everton and Tottenham Hotspurs star secured a move to Como during the winter transfer window, signing a deal that will keep him at the club until summer 2026.
Alli arrived at Como unfit, delaying his debut for the Italian club. Having gain full fitness, he is expected to mark his debut for the Serie A club on Sunday.
The midfielder has been included in Como’s squad for the match against Roma. However, being named in the squad does not guarantee a spot on the pitch, but even making the squad required nearly two months of effort from Alli.
Alli was sidelined for over two-years during his spell with Turkish side Besiktas. He suffered a cruciate ligament rupture, which sidelined him from football for an extended period.
His return come as a huge boost for Como, who are pushing to escape relegation at the end of the campaign.
The enterprising midfielder will be hoping to rediscover his form during his stint with Como in Italy.
He has made 37 appearances for the England national team, scoring three goals since marking his debut in 20215.
