England will take on Senegal in a friendly match on June 10 at Nottingham’s City Ground, marking the second-ever meeting between the two nations following their clash at the 2022 World Cup.
According to Senegalese sources, the fixture has been finalised following weeks of negotiations between the two football federations.
The match, set to be played at Nottingham Forest’s 30,576-capacity stadium, is expected to be officially confirmed on Wednesday.
The Three Lions had been seeking an additional fixture to round off their season, and Senegal emerged as one of their top choices.
The match will take place just four days after England’s World Cup qualifier against Andorra.
For Senegal, the encounter will serve as an opportunity for several of their Premier League-based players to return to familiar territory.
The fixture will also see Sadio Mané make a brief return to English soil, having spent eight years in the Premier League with Southampton and Liverpool before moving to Bayern Munich in 2022 and later joining Al-Nassr.
Senegal may also have another friendly lined up before facing England.
Reports suggest the African champions could play a match on June 6 or 7, with Ireland previously expressing interest in hosting them in Dublin. However, an opponent has yet to be confirmed.
Before their June fixtures, Senegal will turn their attention to crucial World Cup qualifiers in March, where they are set to face Sudan and Togo in the fifth and sixth rounds of the 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign.
