ENGLAND: ASHLEY COLE WOULD HAVE OPTED FOR MONACO

Ashley Cole’s time with Chelsea is coming to an end as his contract is set to expire in June. He has announced his departure from the club, giving him the freedom to choose his next destination.

While speculation has linked him to moves to MLS, Real Madrid, and other Premier League clubs, it now appears that Cole could be heading to Ligue 1.

According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cole has reached an agreement with AS Monaco. He reportedly turned down offers from Real Madrid and is set to become the first signing of the Leonardo Jardim era at Monaco, with Jardim replacing Claudio Ranieri as the club’s manager.

If this transfer materializes, it will mark a significant move for Cole, potentially opening a new chapter in his illustrious career in the French league with AS Monaco.
