Senegalese striker M’Baye Niang, after a brief stint with Turkey’s Adana Demirspor, has officially marked his return to Italy by signing with Empoli until June 2024. The 29-year-old, previously associated with clubs like Torino, Genoa, and AC Milan, is set to bring his experience to Empoli in a deal valued at over 250,000 euros.
Empoli Football Club made the announcement via Twitter, stating, “Empoli Football Club announces that it has reached an agreement with Adana Demirspor Kulübü for the definitive acquisition of the right to the sporting performances of footballer M’Baye Niang.
The player has signed a contract until June 30, 2024, with the possibility of renewal if certain conditions are met.”
Niang’s departure from Adana Demirspor comes after a relatively brief tenure, marked by 20 appearances during the half-season.
The seasoned striker, known for his contributions at Stade Rennais, is anticipated to bring his goal-scoring prowess and attacking flair to Empoli as they strive for success in the Serie A.
