Frankfurt linked with move for Ghana winger Emmanuel Addai from Qarabağ

Eintracht Frankfurt are being linked with a move for Qarabağ left winger Emmanuel Addai, with the 24‑year‑old Ghanaian reportedly on the Bundesliga club’s radar ahead of the summer window.

Addai, valued at €1.50m on Transfermarkt as of 23 December 2025, has seen his stock rise steadily over the past three years, prompting interest from higher‑profile European leagues. The reported probability of a move remains unclear, listed only as “?” in the latest update, and there is no public information on the length of his deal in Azerbaijan, raising the possibility that he could become a free agent or be available with an expiring contract in the near future.

The Kumasi‑born attacker, who stands at 1.73m and prefers to operate as a right‑footed left winger, joined Qarabağ from Spanish side AD Alcorcón on 23 August 2024. Since arriving in the Premyer Liqa, he has continued the upward curve that began in Spain’s lower tiers, where his market value climbed from €50,000 in late 2022 to €1m by June 2024.

Before moving to Spain, Addai developed in France with FC 93 Bobigny after leaving the JMG Academy in Bamako, giving him experience across three different European football cultures – Mali (academy), France and Spain – before his current spell in Azerbaijan.

His latest valuation with Qarabağ, up from €1.2m in mid‑2025 to €1.5m by the end of that year, reflects consistent progress. In a recent Premyer Liqa outing earlier this season, he featured on the left flank in Qarabağ’s tight home win over domestic rivals on 8 February 2026, contributing with his direct running and chance creation in a 2‑1 victory, underlining the attributes that have drawn Frankfurt’s attention.

Should a deal materialise, a switch from Qarabağ to Frankfurt would mark a significant step into one of Europe’s top leagues and could prove pivotal in shaping Addai’s next career phase and broader reputation on the continental stage.
