El Gouna add Cameroon defensive midfielder Wilfried Teukeu after La Viena spell

Cameroon midfielder Wilfried Teukeu has joined Egyptian Premier League club El Gouna from La Viena FC.

The move was completed on 14 August 2026, with the 21-year-old switching clubs after a spell at La Viena. No transfer fee has been disclosed for the move, and no contract expiry date has been announced.

Teukeu plays as a defensive midfielder and is right-footed. His arrival gives El Gouna a player whose primary position is in the central area of midfield, where he can operate from a deeper role.

The midfielder joined La Viena on 3 October 2024 after leaving Grassrunners FC. That move marked his previous change of club before his switch to El Gouna, which now takes him into Egypt’s Premier League.

Teukeu’s recorded competitive involvement includes one Egypt Cup appearance, in which he played the full 90 minutes. The appearance is the only match statistic listed for the 21-year-old, who was born on 9 May 2005.

His move to El Gouna represents the latest step in a club career that has taken him from Grassrunners to La Viena and now to an Egyptian top-flight side. The transfer also keeps him in Egypt, following his previous period with La Viena.

Teukeu is officially an El Gouna player after completing his move from La Viena FC on 14 August 2026.
