German side, Eintracht Frankfurt are looking at sanctioning the transfer of attacker Hugo Ekitike in the summer transfer window.
The France-born forward with Cameroonian roots has been one of the top players at Frankfurt this season.
Despite establishing himself as one of the team’s key players, officials at Frankfurt are open to his sale.
The club is reportedly planning to cash in on the player and has set a price tag of €80 million on his head.
This season, Hugo has been on fire in front of goal, scoring 18 goals and providing 6 assists in all competitions for Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, the forward has set his sights on a call-up to the France national team this year.
Speaking to L’Équipe in an interview, Hugo Ekitike said playing for the French national team is his goal.
He indicated that he remains focused and is working hard to earn the national team call-up from head coach Didier Deschamps.
“It’s the coach who decides. I focus always on how to do more to one day get there.
“We are perhaps the best nation in the world, places are expensive, you have to earn it. I see it as the Holy Grail. The French team represents everything,” Hugo Ekitike said.
