Eintracht Frankfurt plans to move without Junior Dina-Ebimbe
Eric-Junior Dina-Ebimbe and Eintracht Frankfurt likely share no future together.
Despite his prospects appearing uncertain recently, German outlet Bild reports the Hesse club no longer plans to sign the 25-year-old French offensive player. He will permanently leave the club this summer.
Notably, current Frankfurt head coach Adi Hutter previously valued Dina-Ebimbe highly. In January 2025, Hutter tried bringing the Frenchman to AS Monaco, but the transfer failed due to an unsuccessful medical examination. Despite this history, cooperation in Frankfurt won’t happen either.
Instead, Eintracht seeks a permanent transfer. For the French player contracted until 2027, who recently played loaned at Stade Brest 29, Bild estimates a realistic fee between 4 and 5 million euros.
Sport director Timmo Hardung publicly praised his Brest stint: “A decent loan season,” he stated, acknowledging the professional’s potential to play an important role at high level. However, this happening in Frankfurt doesn’t appear imminent.
Dina-Ebimbe isn’t the only player without future prospects. Several loan-returners like Niels Nkounkou, Hrvoje Smolcic, and Jessic Ngankam will also leave. Striker Elye Wahi remains for sale at 20 million euros, while Michy Batshuayi and Ellyes Skhiri are potential departure candidates too.
