Tim Hardung, the sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt, has indicated that the participation of Egyptian player Omar Marrouch with the Pharaohs in the Africa Cup of Nations has had an impact on the team’s performance.
During an exclusive interview with the program “Kora Kol Youm” on Al Hayah channel, Timo stated, “The Egyptian national team did not achieve the desired results during the Africa Cup of Nations, and Omar Marrouch was part of the team and could have performed better, especially since he had shown exceptional form with us in the first half of the season.”
He continued, “Eintracht Frankfurt was certainly affected by Marrouch’s absence while he was participating with the Egyptian national team. He is an important player for the team.”
Regarding Marrouch not traveling to Germany after Egypt’s exit from the tournament, he commented, “Omar contracted a serious infection, which prevented him from traveling, but he has recovered and returned to the team’s training sessions.”
Marrouch’s absence from Eintracht Frankfurt during his international duties with Egypt evidently had repercussions on the team’s dynamics, highlighting the significance of key players and their impact on club performance.
