German side Eintracht Frankfurt have reached a deal to sign France-born forward of Malian descent Mamadou Diakhon.
The German Bundesliga club and French Ligue 1 outfit Stade Reims have agreed terms for the talented youngster to move in the summer transfer window.
Diakhon, 19, is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Ligue 1 and is seen as a potential key figure in revitalising Frankfurt’s attacking options.
While personal terms between Diakhon and Frankfurt have already been agreed upon, final negotiations with Stade Reims remain underway.
Though his current contract was initially set to expire in 2026, a performance-related clause has reportedly extended it automatically to 2027.
According to information gathered from sources, Stade Reims are demanding a fee of around €10 million for the youngster.
Formal discussions between the two clubs are expected to commence soon.
Should the transfer be finalised, Diakhon would become one of Eintracht Frankfurt’s first signings of the summer—and perhaps not the only arrival from Ligue 1.
Frankfurt want to complete the deal as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute hijack from other clubs.
