Egypt’s U-17 national football team has departed for Morocco ahead of the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The delegation, led by head coach Ahmed El-Kass, boarded their flight on Wednesday, March 26, as they prepare to compete in the continental tournament.

Focus Shifts to U-17 AFCON

With the March international break now over, attention in African football turns to the highly anticipated U-17 AFCON.

The tournament, scheduled to take place in Morocco from March 30 to April 19, will see the continent’s brightest young talents competing for the prestigious title.

Egypt, one of the qualified teams, will be looking to make an impact on the tournament.

The Pharaohs have been drawn into Group B, where they will face South Africa, Cameroon, and Burkina Faso in the group stage.

Egypt’s Delegation Sets Off

In an official statement shared on social media, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) confirmed the departure of the squad to the host nation.

The traveling delegation includes the full technical staff, medical team, and young players selected to represent Egypt in the tournament.

Under the leadership of coach Ahmed El-Kass, Egypt’s U-17 team has undergone rigorous preparations, and expectations are high as they aim to make a strong start in Morocco.

The competition promises to be a challenging test for the young Pharaohs, who will need to navigate a tough group featuring some of Africa’s top youth teams.

Road Ahead for the Young Pharaohs

The team will now settle in Morocco and finalize their preparations before their opening match.

With the tournament set to showcase some of the most promising young talents in African football, Egypt’s squad will be eager to prove themselves on the big stage.

As the countdown to kick-off continues, the Egyptian side remains focused on their goal of making a deep run in the competition and securing a place among the continent’s best youth teams.
