Under the guidance of coach Wael Riad, the Egyptian national youth team continued its rigorous training today as part of the ongoing camp in Cairo, slated to run until January 29.
The training sessions are integral to the Pharaohs’ preparations for the qualifying rounds of the African Youth Championship.
The one-hour practice session included intense physical workouts, followed by technical and tactical drills.
The players engaged in specific exercises dedicated to set-piece plays, emphasizing strategies for dealing with them and concluding offensive maneuvers.
Additionally, penalty kick training was incorporated to enhance the team’s proficiency in crucial moments.
In a strategic move, the coaching staff, led by Wael Riad, visited Luxor from January 8 to January 11 to observe players in this age group in Upper Egypt.
This aligns with the coaching team’s plan to scout the most promising talents and integrate them into the national youth team.
During this period, the coaching staff set up base at the Youth City in Luxor, allowing them to closely monitor a diverse pool of players from the region.
The initiative provided an opportunity for talents across the country to showcase their skills, contributing to the broader goal of identifying and nurturing the best prospects for the youth national team.
As the Egyptian youth team meticulously refines its skills and strategies, the focus on set pieces and offensive execution underscores the commitment to tactical precision and versatility.
These training efforts reflect the determination to build a well-rounded team capable of competing at the highest level, aligning with Egypt’s aspirations for success in the upcoming African Youth Championship.
