The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association’s board of directors is set to determine the fate of the League Cup final in its forthcoming meeting, following the qualification of Ceramica and Talae El Gaish to the tournament’s ultimate showdown in its third edition.
The Egyptian League Cup final for the year 2024 will see Ceramica facing off against Talae El Gaish.
Ceramica secured their spot in the final after defeating Al Ittihad Alexandria with a lone goal in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, Talae El Gaish advanced to the final by triumphing over Al Masry Port Said in a penalty shootout with a score of 3-1, following a 1-1 draw in regular and extra time.
The champions of the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association League Cup will be awarded a prize money of 1.5 million Egyptian pounds.
In the inaugural edition of the tournament in 2022, Modern Future Club emerged victorious, clinching the title after defeating Ghazl El Mahalla 5-1 in the final.
On the other hand, Ceramica Cleopatra FC holds the title from the second edition in 2023, having secured victory in the final against Al Masry with a score of 4-1.
