The Egyptian youth national team, led by Wael Riad, kicked off its training camp today, Sunday, in Cairo, as part of preparations for the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations scheduled for October.
Alaa Nabil, the technical director of the Football Association, and Mohamed Youssef, the assistant technical director, were keen to meet with the coaching staff and players before the start of the camp.
Nabil emphasized to the players the importance of seizing the opportunity and exerting their utmost effort to maintain their presence in the national team.
He stressed that the Football Association would provide all the necessary resources for the success and achievement of the desired goals, especially since this team represents the future of Egyptian football.
Mohamed Youssef stated that he would maintain constant communication with the coaching staff to provide all the needs, emphasizing the importance of a strong preparation program for the team to reach the World Cup, which is the primary goal.
Wael Riad expressed his gratitude to Alaa Nabil and Mohamed Youssef for their presence and support for the national team, emphasizing the necessity of focus and discipline both on and off the field to achieve success for Egyptian football.
The youth team conducted its first training session at the accommodation hotel’s field, lasting for an hour, which included physical exercises.

In a related development, Alaa Nabil and Mohamed Youssef then headed to the training camp of the U-13 national team born in 2008, where they met with the coaching staff led by Captain Ahmed Al-Kass and the players.
They reiterated the Football Association’s support for them during the upcoming phase and its commitment to providing the necessary environment for success.
