A friendly match between the Egypt national under-17 football team and their Omani counterparts ended in a 2–1 victory for the Young Pharaohs, but the game was overshadowed by a serious medical emergency involving Omani player Mohammed Ghanem.

The incident occurred after a heavy challenge during the match, which led to the player requiring immediate medical attention on the pitch.

The Egyptian medical staff acted quickly as the situation became critical, with reports indicating that the player experienced severe complications, including the risk of airway obstruction and convulsive symptoms.

Led by Dr. Hajjaj Al-Antabli, the medical team rushed onto the field alongside their Omani counterparts to provide urgent first aid. Their quick response played a key role in stabilising the player before further treatment.

Hospital Transfer and Full Recovery Check

The injured player was transported by ambulance to Zayed Specialised Hospital, where he underwent scans and medical examinations to assess his condition.

Dr. Al-Antabli accompanied the player during the transfer and ensured that the necessary emergency medical protocols were followed.

Further tests later confirmed that the Omani player was in stable condition and had not suffered any lasting complications.
