Ahmed Salem, the official spokesperson for Zamalek, shed light on the intricacies of resolving the club’s registration issue, revealing the impact of a local individual on the negotiations with Sporting Lisbon and addressing the reality of Vingada’s involvement.
In statements to the first channel, Salem provided insights into the resolution of the Sporting Lisbon and Geraldo Jusufaldo Ferreira case, stating, “We received several confirmations regarding the lifting of the suspension concerning the Sporting Lisbon case and the assistants of Josewaldo Ferreira.
FIFA receives the transfer number and notifies the complaining club of its existence. If there is no response within five days, it is considered that they received the amount, and the suspension is automatically lifted.”
He continued, “Only Caracas (Samson’s transfer deal) remains, and if there is no response within the next 5 days, the suspension will be lifted.”
Salem elaborated, “The matter required strenuous negotiations by Hussein Labib, the club’s president, and Amr Adham, a council member.
We were certainly trying to negotiate the installment of several amounts in the 14 cases.”
“The most crucial attempt, on the verge of success, was with Sporting Lisbon, negotiating the installment of a one and a half million dollars.
However, an individual from Egypt sought to portray the board negatively to the public, contacting Lisbon and informing them of a case on January 14th that would lead to the departure of the board,” Salem added.
He concluded, “In the coming week, a roadmap for football affairs in general, not just the first team, will be announced.
We have a very large number of CVs for coaches, not only for a head coach, and with the regular payment of fines and dues, the club’s image is improving.”
Regarding Vingada’s contribution to resolving the Lisbon crisis, Salem stated, “Anyone contributing who worked previously with Zamalek has a limited role and perspective, but the negotiations were directly between the board and Lisbon, not through intermediaries.”
