Mohamed Abu Jabal, the goalkeeper for the Al Ahly Bank club, addressed the controversy surrounding his alleged altercation with Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim, commonly known as Kahraba, during the Egyptian national team’s camp at the previous Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Dispelling rumors of discord, Abu Jabal clarified in a televised statement, “There was no altercation between Kahraba and me during the Egyptian national team’s camp.
Any speculation suggesting otherwise stemmed from individuals with vested interests in my non-transfer to Al Ahly.”
Responding to a query about his aspirations to play for Al Ahly, Abu Jabal expressed, “Playing for Al Ahly is an honor for any player.”
Meanwhile, when asked who he believed to be Egypt’s primary goalkeeper, Mustafa Shobier responded, “Mohamed El Shenawy is Egypt’s primary goalkeeper.”
Contrarily, Abu Jabal asserted his position, stating, “I am Egypt’s primary goalkeeper.”
