Egyptian giants Zamalek is preparing for a significant squad overhaul as the club gear up for the upcoming football campaign.
The former CAF Confederation Cup champions aim to rebuild their squad to restore balance domestically and continentally for the 2025/26 football season.
Zamalek struggled last term and are determined to fix their wrongs in order to compete for laurels next season.
According to reports, the hierarchy of Zamalek have decided to offload foreign players including Seifeddine Jaziri, Ahmed El-Ghazzali, and Hamza Mathlouthi this window.
Jaziri, who is a Tunisian international is close to leaving Zamalek, with the club evaluating offers either permanent or loan deals for the striker. His recent dip in form has prompted Zamalek to seek reinforcements upfront, and the marketing committee has been instructed to assess incoming bids.
Additionally, five midfielders are on their way out of the team due limited playing time in the just ended season.
The players include, Seif Farouk Jaafar, Mohamed Atef, Mahab Yasser, Ziad Kamal and Ahmed Mahmoud
Zamalek’s restructuring aims to strengthen key areas before the new campaign kicks off.
