Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek have retired the No.10 jersey of club legend Mahmoud Abdelrazak Fadlallah, known in the football fraternity as Shikabala.

The 39-year-old spent almost his entire playing career with the Egyptian outfit, featuring for the club from 2003 to 2025.

Shikabala began his professional journey back in 2003, when he was promoted from Zamalek’s youth team to the senior squad. During his illustrious career, the winger was transferred once, where he had spells with PAOK in Greece and made a swift return to the club.

Up until 2019, the player went out on loan to various clubs, but it was only in the 2018/19 season that he firmly established himself in Zamalek’s first team.

As he retires from professional football, the Egyptian giants has decided to retire his iconic number 10 shirt forever in an attempt to honour his services.

Over his career, he made 396 appearances for his beloved club, netting 70 goals and providing 89 assists. This past season was Shikabala’s last in professional football.

At the international level, Shikabala made 32 appearances and scored twice since his debut in June 2007.
