Egyptian giants Zamalek have denied reaching an agreement with South African trainer Rulani Mokwena for the coaching.
The White Knights are in search for a new tactician following the sacking of Portuguese gaffer Jose Peseiro after a string of unimpressive performance.
Earlier reports in the media suggested the Egyptian powerhouse has reached an agreement with Rulani Mokwena to take over the club’s coaching job.
However, Zamalek have swiftly downplayed such report as the search for a new coach continues.
Despite being one of the candidates for the job, Zamalek have yet to engage the former Wydad Casablanca gaffer for the job.
His recent underwhelming stint with the Moroccan giants is also said to be a factor working against him in the current evaluation.
At the moment, Ayman Al Ramadi, who is the interim coach of Zamalek is expected to lead the club until the end of the season.
As Zamalek continue their search for a permanent head coach, no decision has been finalized, and the door remains open for multiple options.
Zamalek will end their campaign on June 5, when they take on Pyramids in the Egyptian Cup final.
