“Al Ahly is required to register a preliminary list of no more than 50 players by the day after tomorrow, Monday, based on an official letter from FIFA,” a source said.
“Al-Ahly will register all players, including the rising star Mohamed Abdullah, as well as players whose contracts have not been renewed, such as Rami Rabia, Yasser Ibrahim, and Hamza Alaa, and those on loan whose status has not been decided, such as Yahya Attiyat Allah.
“Al-Ahly will send a list of all players registered on its local roster, and will reduce it to 35 players before June 10, adding new players who will be contracted according to the tournament regulations.”
The squad will later be trimmed to 35 players before June 10, with the possibility of adding new signings in accordance with tournament regulations.
“The final list will be 35 players, from which 26 players will be chosen two days before each match in the tournament and registered to participate,” he added.
