Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly are set for a massive clear-out at the end of the 2024/25 football campaign, according to reports in the North African country.
Al Ahly are seeking to augment their squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup tournament to be staged in the USA next month.
As the team gear up for the impending tournament, the Egyptian giants have set sights on parting ways with at least nine first team players.
A chunk of the squad will depart as free agents, having declined to renew their contract with the Egyptian giants.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly rivals, Zamalek are looking to capitalize on the impending contract expirations of goalkeeper Hamza Alaa and midfielder Karim Nedved, both set to become free agents on June 30.
